How to answer “Why are you interested in this job” (Without saying because I need a job and money)

This question can be quite annoying to a candidate however it does give the hiring team a lot of information about your commitment to the company/job

  1. Do your Research: Make sure you review the job description as well as the company. Chose a couple of job responsibilities that interest or excite you. You don’t necessarily need to be experienced in these responsibilities, it can be something you want to learn more about.
  2. Career Goals: Mention your career goals and how this job will tie into your goals.
  3. Reputation: It’s ok to schmooze a little bit. Talk about a company reputation and why that makes you want to be a part of the team.
